Bruno Le Maire – Speaker on Economy, Finance, and Global Affairs
Bruno Le Maire, born on April 15, 1969, in Neuilly-sur-Seine, is a prominent French political figure and an influential speaker on economic and financial matters. A graduate of the École normale supérieure and the École nationale d’administration (ENA), he began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held various strategic positions. He later became Chief of Staff to Dominique de Villepin, then Minister of Foreign Affairs, and continued as Special Advisor when de Villepin became Prime Minister.
In 2008, Bruno Le Maire was appointed Secretary of State for European Affairs in François Fillon’s government, and in 2009, he became Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. During his tenure, he distinguished himself through his management of agricultural crises and his commitment to modernizing the sector.
After serving as a deputy for Eure, he ran in the 2016 right-wing primary, gaining attention for his ambitious reform proposals. In 2017, he joined the government as Minister of Economy and Finance under President Emmanuel Macron. Over seven years leading France’s economic policy, he spearheaded major economic and fiscal reforms, supporting business growth, innovation, and European financial integration.
